What is an Arangetram?

A Bharatanatyam Arangetram is the solo debut performance of a student of the Indian classical dance form of Bharatanatyam. It is a roughly three-hour event that will be the culmination of Shivani's ten years of training and will mark her lifelong commitment to dance.

The word "Arangetram" is a Tamil word that translates to "ascending the stage."
